As part of the Loreto School Excellence Framework, the 'Stake Holders' group of Loreto Day School Sealdah organised a one-hour interactive session, ' *Raising Independent Children Without Stepping Back* ,' for parents of students studying in Classes VI–XII.
Facilitated by the School Counselor, Ms. Purnendi Saha and Special Educator, Ms. Priyanka Khawas, this engaging session offered practical, research-informed strategies to help the child develop sound *decision-making skills, build self-reliance, embrace responsibility, and grow into an independent learner,* while strengthening the supportive bond between parent and child.
The event not only equipped the parents with valuable parenting insights but also reinforced the partnership between home and school, creating a strong foundation for the child's holistic growth and future success.
